Medicine Building upgrade ongoing
The Medicine Building is undergoing renovation to further improve its services to patients and provide medical students a more favorable atmosphere for training and development.
Dr. Lutgarda C. Quito, Executive Vice President, underscored the MCU – Filemon D. Tanchoco Medical Foundation's commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education.
"The administration's utmost purpose is to give quality service and convenience to all stakeholders," Dr. Quito said. "This (the renovation) is not just refurbishing or widening. The building will be more functional and useful and will also have a new look."
The Doctors Offices at the Ground Floor will have a Doctor's lounge, three more spacious rooms other than those already in place and enhanced corridors for the patients. These will offer both the doctors and patients valuable and comfortable space for consultation and treatment.
With regards the classrooms, Dr. Quito revealed that the Second Floor classrooms would provide students with an encouraging setting, quality space, proper ventilation, and better sound system. The reconstruction has the end in view of giving comfort, convenience and creating an atmosphere conducive to learning for the students.
The Medicine Building was previously known as the Anatomy Building.
