Outpatient Clinic and Hospital set-up

In the annual hospital statistics, ENT ranks among the top departments in the ambulatory services having the most number of patients for the past several years. This is expected to increase with the opening of the newly built outpatient set-up equipped with a brand new Medline ENT treatment machine and wallmount transformers for ENT examinations.

Also available is the ENT Endoscopy Unit at the OPD for the diagnostic examination of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and vocal cords on video.

The MCU Hearing Center which screens and provide rehabilitation for hard of hearing individuals steadily increases its census since it began operating 5 years ago. In addition, the otoacoustic emission test - a hearing screening test for newborns opened last December 2005. In the operating room, a new operating zeiss microscope provides the assistant surgeon a good view of the surgery as it happens simultaneously via a monitor makes teaching and training a lot better. A modest video endoscopy system for endoscopic sinus surgery is likewise available. A set of storz esophagoscopes for adults and children were acquired last year.

The newly built extension of the hospital and its renovation means a larger patient base at the same time providing a conducive environment for patients, residents and medical personnel alike.

Accredited Residency Training

Under the tutelage and guidance of the consultant staff, the department has been accredited by the PBO-HNS and thru the years has produced a number of diplomates from its roster of graduates.
